Lewis Hamilton wins in America to seal his 3rd world championship
The Saturday qualifying might have been cancelled and the sunday session be shortened, no matter what the race was the most exciting race of the season with 3 different race leaders and 3 to 4 drivers fighting for the lead till the last lap with Hamilton taking the chequered flag and sealing the championship fight. Rosberg finished 2nd with Vettel making an absolute mastery to 3rd after starting 14th.
Nico Rosberg might have got the pole but Hamilton had other ideas, he simply didnt want to take the championship without a victory and so right on the start Hamilton took the inside into C1 pushing his team mate Rosberg a bit wide and down into 4th.
Hamilton got the lead but was closely challenged by the Redbull of Ricciardo and Kvyat, since then the race was action packed with many safety car incidents and lead changes and thrilling fights till the last lap.
On lap 15 Ricciardo took the lead of the race from Hamilton before the champion going in for a tyre change after relegated to 4th. After the pitstops Hamilton regained the lead but Nico Rosberg came back strong and fought with his Mercedes team mate to take the lead he lost on the start.
Rosberg was leading until the last stages of the race with 10 laps to go followed by Hamilton and suddenly Rosberg makes a mistake losing his rears and running off track handing the lead to Hamilton and no stopping after that.
Ferrari driver Vettel raged through the field and closed in on Rosberg and was the only driver who could denyHamilton from sealing the championship here in American.
Hamilton took the flag first and Rosberg held off his compatriot Vettel to take 2nd and thus Hamilton safely took home his 3rd title.
